Difficulty level: Easy
Hey everyone! This tutorial was based on an old tutorial of which the method was provided by Manticore_007. I updated it to use invisible paths, which have been added to OpenRCT2!
When you build a single wide path, the game will try to place benches on both sides of the path, which can make it look a bit cramped. Using some trickery, it is possible to only have the bench on one side!
First, build a T-junction where you want the single bench to be, and place a bench on it.
Then place invisible path on top of the junction. The path should now be changed into invisible path. The bench will stay in place.
Now turn on height markers on paths in the viewing options.
Now you should be able to place a banner on the path if you hover your mouse over the height marker. Set the banner to No Entry.
Open up the tile inspector, and select the tile which has the banner on it. Click the eye icon to the left of the banner, which will make it disappear. After that select the footpath which the banner leads to, and hide or delete it using the tile inspector. You can hide it using the eye icon, or delete it using the trash can icon.
Now copy a path piece, and paste it on top of the invisible path. Make sure the banner is above the invisible footpath element in the list. Make sure the newly copied path piece is above the banner in the list.
Guests should now be able to use your single bench!
