Hey everyone! Larson Loopers are rides which consist of a single vertical loop of track. A vehicle on the track will swing back and forth several times before it has enough speed to make it through the track fully, after which it will do several loops in one direction. Then after a while it will do the same in the other direction! You can find these rides in several parks around the world, and they can sometimes be found on fairgrounds as well! The method for building one of these rides in OpenRCT2 can be used to create a looping swinging ship as well!
Building a ride like this involves some shoestringing, and there are many steps to follow, so it is easy to mess something up. However, with a bit of perseverance, you should be able to build a ride like this.
In the following video you will see how to build your own Larson Looper! These rides are sure to be an eyecatcher in your park!
The following video is an older tutorial from Fidwell which can be interesting if you want to build a version of the ride with less features, but one that is a bit more simple to build! It also does not require using the Ride Vehicle Editor after closing the rides and despawning the vehicles.
