Hey everyone! A Bobkart is a ride which can be found in a few parks around the world. Riders ride a 1 or 2 person vehicle through a half circular track. The vehicle takes power from the side of the track using a flexible boom, and uses that to power itself along the track. On real Bobkarts the riders can operate a brake to slow down the kart if they wish (but it's more fun if you go fast). Because these vehicles only seat one or two riders, the throughput of these rides is really bad.
In OpenRCT2 you can decently create a ride that looks like a functioning Bobkart! I typically use alpine coaster vehicles, and for the track I like to use Dinghy Slide track. These tracks typically also have one or more helixes, so for those I will typically use Bobsleigh Coaster track. If you want, you could also decide to cover the track with a roof, just like Maximus Blitz Bahn in Toverland!
Alpine coaster vehicles are not powered vehicles, so in order for them to propel themselves forward along the track you will have to put an invisible powered vehicle in front of them on the track. This is pretty easy to do using the Ride Vehicle Editor plugin. The Ride Editor plugin can be used to change your helixes to Bobsleigh Coaster track. In the video below I show you how to build one of these in your park!
